Chelsy joined the Museum as Director in 2019. She has her BA in European History and English Literature. From 2013-2022, she served as Education Coordinator and Communications Manager for The Powder Magazine in Charleston. In addition to her work at the Museum, Chelsy has been a junior researcher/reporter for the Doughboy Foundation since 2018. Her research interests are medieval Britain, the American colonial period, World War I, and the history of death and mourning. She is a cannoneer with the Charlestown Battalion of Artillery and interprets as an 18th-century needleworker.
